Owning our wellbeing at ENTAG!
Connection + Fitness = Wellbeing culture! The brainchild of our Director Mark, we have set up a weekly mountain climb followed by a coffee catch up for our men across the business to enable them to socialise and support each other. With Mental Health being a key factor in the daily like of many men and women in our community, initiatives such as this keep us all strong and connecting.
As we moved to remote working during covid in March 2020 our focus was on both the mental and physical wellbeing of our teams during the unsettling time. So using our Microsoft teams platform and Count-it technology we got some fun team based competition happening to challenge ourselves to keep connected, keep moving and keep having fun….great photos of our achievements and shouts were received daily which reinforced our gratitude for our culture and each other!
Wellbeing is body and mind and with the support of Coby from Impact Strength and Fitness we delivered an 8-week fitness and health education program to a group of our team members. Whilst some of us found we had muscles we never knew we had in week 1, by week 8 we were sorry to see the challenge finish…..this will be a key focus for us to reignite in 2021!
Getting down and relaxed together was a new concept for many of us as we took on a month of yoga classes! The experience was both calming and physically engaging as we stretched and breathed with the best of them.
It could be a high ropes course, a game of lawn bowls, an air guitar challenge or breakfast BBQ – all these opportunities engage our teams to connect, have a laugh and want to come to work – this all contributes to our wellbeing culture.
Company sponsored flu shots, financial planning lunch’n’learn sessions, Employee Assistance Program coaching are just some of the initiatives ENTAG offers to support their team allowing them to feel well and achieve their work/life goals!
